Living in the city can be unsanitary because of the high level of CO2 and other harmful gases emitted into the air. If we spend time near the green tree, we will absorb more oxygen. Happiness explodes when we breathe in the place where we are camping.

That’s the reason why we should take the time to go to a place where we can have fresh air. For example on the hill or mountain. Breathing in fresh mountain air is good for our lungs as well as good for our mental clarity.

Camping is a good way to cope with stress. By camping, we are not putting pressure on our physical and mental faculties. It offers a few moments without stress at the camping site. Increasing levels of oxygen reduce the stress.
Whether it is an open field, a mountain, or a wooded area, we cannot help but feel connected to nature. Connecting to nature is one of the surest and oldest forms of reducing stress. When stress levels reduce, the heart rate slows. Breathing is easier.

Essential Things For Camping

If you are an avid camper, then you must have everything set. And better yet, you have a routine list already. But, for those of you who are new to camping, here are some of the essential things to bring.

1. Shelter

The most important thing to have for our camping adventure is a shelter. Shelter from the possible extremes is essential. Even if we are not surrounded by inclement weather, things such as spiders and snakes do exist. The need to protect ourselves from them is important.
A little research goes a long way when first purchasing our tent. Ask your friends and family who have camping experience which brand they use and prefer. Go to many of the different sporting goods stores. Even shop around online a little bit before settling into any one choice.
Camping tents come in various shapes and sizes:
* 2-person tent
* Family Tent
* Dome Tents
* Stand up tents
A great idea is to look into food tents once we have made up our mind which sleeping tent we want. Food tents can protect and preserve food against weather and animals as well. Keeping our food tucked away and far away from our sleeping quarters is an excellent idea.

2. Bedding

Select what size and style tent you desire. It is a good idea to buy sleeping bags that are warm and waterproof. Also, think about buying a blow up single mattress for those in your party who do not like “roughing it” as much.
Pillows are another thought for comfortable sleeping. Make certain to take along extra thermal blankets and sleeping bags to cover up in. It can get cold up in many campsites. Especially those surrounded by mountains.

3. Cookware

The location of our campsite will dictate how much and what to bring. If we are close to a food supply store, we can pack a little lighter. But, if we are roughing it, we can always bring along canned and dehydrated food in case.
* Camping stove with fuel and lighter. If we are bringing our barbeque, then charcoal, matches, and lighter fluid
* Frying pan with a lid
* Pot with a lid
* Cooking skewers
* Can opener
* Tongs for turning sausages and hot dogs
* Spatula for flipping burgers
* Paper plates, napkins, and utensils and cooking foil are a must, along with cups.
* Don’t forget to bring tons of water.

4. Extras
We will also need to bring some extra miscellaneous items with us that we may not have thought of:
* Raincoat
* Lanterns
* Flashlights
* Batteries
* Bug spray or lotion
* Sunscreen
* Garbage bags
* Soap, sponges, and scrubbers for dishes and a basin to wash stuff in
* Camping chairs
* A sewing kit
* Toiletries including toilet paper
* First aid kit contents

Tips For A Great Camping Experience

When it comes to camping, the best rule of thumb is to plan, plan, and plan some more. The more we have planned out, the more successful our trip will be.

1. Make A List and Check It Again

Make a list of everything we can think of that we will need. Think about sleeping, eating, having fun in the sun, getting wet if there is a lake and so on. This way we will not forget anything.

2. Check Out Nearby Necessities

We may feel uncomfortable with using what you have remembered to bring along. Check the campsite and see how close the nearest general store or food stand is to your site. Besides, you may want to check out the nearest medical facility to ease your mind in case of emergency.
Look into the closest repair shop for your vehicle or camper if you have one. These things may seem trivial, but thinking about them. Make sure you know what you are up against is a wise choice indeed.

3. Focus On the Fun

There is a lot of time, effort, and packing that goes into camping. But, don’t forget to focus on the fun. Look into activities such as kayaking, fishing, rock climbing, and hiking while you are camping.
Taking lots of pictures to scrapbook on the way home is a great idea and a wonderful way to keep kids busy and occupied.
On the way up to camping, get everyone excited. On the way down everyone always wants to know, “Are we home yet? Don’t forget to pack some toys for all ages. Joy and bubbles go together hand in hand. Crackers and marshmallows are always unforgettable.

Things to Do While Camping

If you think that camping is only about sitting around the campfire, eating the sandwich and roasting the fish, those are only some of the best things. There are so many fun things to do for young adults, couples, and families that we will not be at a loss of when camping.

1. Fishing

Fishing is also a sport. Fishing will give a physical activity. Those activities are throwing a fishing rod, pull the reel, lift the fish, and other. So that we will get healthy and become fit.

2. Stargazing

Stargazing alleviates stress and increases happiness. When we stare at the stars, we aware that the universe is so huge. All we can do is give thank that we have the opportunity to be alive and to enjoy the beauty of nature.
When gazing at the stars filled sky, the time seems to stop. We can forget all the problems for a while and only enjoy the beautiful star. We can do it every time to be happy with what we have and be grateful. Grateful is the basis of happiness.

3.Hiking

What sport is not too draining the purse while providing relaxation? Hiking is one of the answers. A million hiking benefits! Not only for health but also for recreation. Because we will be exposed to beautiful scenery and fresh air along the way.

4. Biking

Bike riding lets us add a fitness activity into our day even when we don’t have time for a workout. We get the same cardiovascular benefits from cycling with other aerobic exercises like walking, jogging or dancing. It can be a very effective cardiovascular workout.
Our muscles get a boost, too. Bike riding strengthens our thighs, hips and rear end. If our route includes climbing hills, our arms and upper body will benefit as we stand to pedal. Cycling is gentle on our joints and helps preserve cartilage.

5. Swimming

Chances are that our campsite has a pond or lake for swimming. There is nothing as refreshing as a swim in a lake surrounded by mountains, hills, and valleys.

6. Picnicking

Eating lunch outdoors is a natural mood booster. We can be amazed at how much the lack of sun in our body can affect our mood. The fresh air, sunshine, or a nice breeze put us in good mood. It motivates us to get some exercise.

7. Boating or Kayaking

Lack of physical activity can make the joints wear out. If we do activities like kayaking, we can increase the production of synovial fluid. So that we can lubricate the joints.
These are a handful of things that we can do while camping. These things are appropriate for couples, singles, families, and children of all ages.

  9. We love to camp! we are going for three days in august! it will be our first camping trip with all three of our kids together and it will be our sons first camping trip ever! super exciting!

    1. Yes. We need to do that at least once in our lifetime. Now the family can choose glamping, the more comfortable camping but the absolutely more expensive version of camping.

  10. When I was a kid I went camping with my grandparents or aunt and uncle (or all of the above). Us kids would sleep in tents while the adults slept in their motor homes. I still have good memories of those times.

  11. Camping is so good for the soul. I take my kids camping every summer and sometimes we’ll just camp out in the backyard.
