Until today, aloe vera is an important traditional medicine in China, India, the West Indies, South Africa, and Japan.
Based on the research, the green aloe plant is rich in substances, such as enzymes, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, polysaccharides, and other components. The components are beneficial to health and beauty including agelessness.
Aloe barbadensis Miller is the Latin botanical name of this plant. Aloe vera produces two substances used in medicine. We get the gel from the cells in the center of the leaf. And we get the latex from the cells beneath the leaf skin.
The name Aloe vera derives from the Arabic word “Alloeh” meaning “shining bitter substance”, while “vera” in Latin means “true”. 2000 years ago, the Greek scientist regarded Aloe vera as the universal panacea.
Aloe vera contains 75 potentially active constituents. The active components in aloe vera include vitamins A, B, C, E, folic acid, calcium, selenium, zinc, chromium, and magnesium. Aloe vera contains 20 of the 22 essential amino acids.
With these contents, aloe vera can improve wrinkles and elasticity in the photoaged human skin. It helps to rejuvenate skin cells. Thus delaying the aging process and the fine wrinkles formation on the skin.
How to get the benefits of aloe vera for the skin?
Orally
To get the most out of aloe vera benefits is by consuming it every day. Before consuming it, we should wash aloe vera thoroughly. Separate the skin with aloe vera meat until we’re left with the white and no mucus attached to the meat.
After that, drain out the latex that is still attached to the meat of aloe vera. The latex can be slightly irritating to the skin. Cut aloe vera to a small cut. Once ready, we can consume it or processed into drinks and food. We can also process into juice or processed into a gelatinous material or yogurt.
According to research conducted by Asian scientists, “by daily using small amounts of aloe vera gel we can significantly improve skin elasticity and remove wrinkles. Research has been done on thirty healthy female subjects. They received 2 different doses (low-dose:1,200 mg/day, high-dose:3,600 mg/d) of aloe vera gel supplementation for 90 days. We can use aloe vera as a mask. Apply gel to the skin. Then wait at least one hour so that the content penetrates the skin. Afterward, rinse using warm water.
There are no significant side effects, either by consumption of the low-dose or used as a mask or scrub. But those who are allergic to aloe vera should be careful. To know whether we are allergic to aloe vera, apply a little aloe vera on the hands or other parts. Having considered no reaction such as itch, it means we have no allergies to aloe vera.

What are the benefits of aloe vera for skin health and beauty?
1. Treating wrinkles
Apply aloe gel to our wrinkles every night. Wrinkles under the eyes is a huge problem that many people face today, and aloe vera gel can help treat it. This plant contains Vitamin A, vitamin C, and E that can help nourish the skin and improve the conditions for the better. Make sure we use the gel regularly.

Aloe vera can heal the skin from the effect of sunlight exposure. Treating burns is one of the most common and practical uses of aloe. But aloe vera is only suitable for use on first and second-degree burns.
The stages of burns:

First degree burns: these only affect the top layer of skin and are quick to heal. Sunburn is a very common type of the first-degree burn.

Second degree burns: this is when the burn goes through to the second layer of skin. It usually causes a blister, but not immediately breaking the top layer of skin.

Aloevera gel extract naturally from fresh plants.
We should use the transparent gel only. Don’t use the yellow color part near the aloe vera skin (aloe latex). Talk to your doctor before using aloe vera gel for wrinkles, especially if you have skin sensitivities or allergies.

Once I accidentally burnt the end of my finger. It wasn’t quite to the bone but still pretty deep. I quickly broke off a aloe leaf and stuck my finger in it. I waited for the pain to hit and it didn’t. My finger healed quite quickly and I have no scar. Yeah Aloe Vera!
